MAIPk`s Officers Prepared for Emergency Aid
Ipoh, 22 and December 23, 2016 - A small but significant initiatives to MAIPk officers have been executed by the Perak Islamic Religious Council and Malay Custom (MAIPk). The initiative is a joint organization with courses of two (2) training of Basic Life Support (BLS) and First Aid And Life Support (FALS) in the House of Al-Ghazali, KIDR. Courses are managed by the Strategic Planning and Risk Unit, MAIPk, and was attended by 30 officers. The course was successfully conducted in collaboration with nine (9) facilitators from the Emergency Department, Hospital Raja Permaisuri Bainun, Ipoh, led by Dr. Ruth Sabrina.
This course is to meet the requirements of the Emergency Response Plan (ERP). BLS courses and FALS goal is to give exposure to the fundamentals of early care before the paramedics ambulance arrived at the scene or before the patient is brought to the hospital. Teaching theoretical and practical progress has been made throughout the course. Written and practical tests have been carried out to ensure that participants could understand the rules of first aid. It is hoped that the participants are able and competent to apply the rules correctly when an emergency occurs, particularly in the workplace. Hopefully the benefits derived from such a course could create an atmosphere of preparedness among the staffs of MAIPk in particular and society in general.
